In a surprise statement, US President Donald Trump drew attention to Ukraine’s actions, calling on it to reconsider its tactics regarding attacks on Russian fuel infrastructure. According to Trump, the strikes allegedly being carried out by Ukrainian forces against Russian oil facilities could trigger a diesel fuel shortage on the global market.
Speaking to journalists, Trump noted that, in his view, Volodymyr Zelenskyy should change his approach to this issue. “Zelenskyy must do one thing. He must stop targeting diesel fuel facilities in Russia. He is causing a diesel shortage,” the US president emphasised. However, it is important to note that Trump did not provide any evidence to support his claims regarding the impact of Ukrainian attacks on the global fuel market.
