After the strike on Iran, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu addressed the Iranian people

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recorded a video message to the Iranian people.

He said Israel’s strikes on Iran had destroyed a significant part of its ballistic missile arsenal and its largest uranium enrichment facility.

“In the last 24 hours we have eliminated top military commanders, high-ranking nuclear physicists. There will be more to come,” the prime minister emphasised.

Netanyahu also called on Iranians, whom he described as a proud people, to rise up against their government and fight for freedom. The prime minister clarified that Israel is not fighting against the Iranian people, but against the government.

“The Islamic regime that has oppressed you for almost 50 years is threatening to destroy our country, the state of Israel. The goal of Israel’s operation is to prevent the threat that the Islamic regime’s nuclear programme and ballistic missiles pose to us,” Netanyahu said.

On the night of 13 June, Israel launched an attack on Iran. Israeli aircraft struck uranium enrichment facilities in Natang and Fordow, missile bases in Kermanshah and Khorremabad, Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz and other major Iranian cities were also under attack.

In response, Iran launched ballistic missiles at Israel. On the evening of 13 June, the IDF estimated that Iran fired fewer than 100 ballistic missiles at Israel in two rocket attacks, The Times of Israel reported.

According to the media outlet, Netanyahu held a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump this afternoon.

It was the second phone conversation in two days amid Israel’s massive strike on Iran and Tehran’s retaliatory missile attack.

US President Donald Trump has said he is not concerned about the possibility of a regional war in the Middle East. In a telephone conversation with Reuters, he noted that” everyone knew “about the impending Israeli strikes, adding that he was “trying to save Iran from death.”
