Autoliv increases dividend by 21%

Swedish-American automotive safety systems manufacturer Autoliv has increased its quarterly dividend by 21% to $0.85 per share from $0.7, the company said in a press release.

The closing of the shareholder register is scheduled for 5 September. Dividend payments will take place on 23 September for holders of shares rotating on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and on 24 September for holders of Swedish Depositary Receipts listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.

In addition, the company is launching a new share buyback programme of up to $2.5bn on 1 July, which will run until the end of 2029.

Autoliv reiterated its 2025 outlook for organic sales growth of around 2% and an adjusted operating margin in the range of 10-10.5%. The company also remains committed to its goal of growing sales annually by an average of 4-6% going forward.

Autoliv’s stock price is up 2.1% during the previous session on Wednesday on the NYSE. Since the beginning of this year, they have increased by 9.5% (the company’s capitalisation is about $7.9 billion), while the S&P 500 stock index has added 1.5%.

Autoliv is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of safety systems for cars and two-wheelers, producing, among other things, airbags and seat belts. The company operates in 25 countries and employs about 65,000 people. Sales in 2024 totalled $10.4bn.
