Former United States President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer with metastases to the bones, US media reported, citing a statement by his press service.
It is known that the diagnosis was made after doctors found a “small nodule” on Biden’s prostate that needed “further examination”.
“Although it is a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be sensitive to hormones, which provides an effective treatment”. The president and his family are reviewing treatment options with his doctors,” Biden’s speaker said.
According to the report, Biden’s prostate cancer has a Gleason score of 9, which is high, with a maximum of 10.
Biden is now 82 years old , he served as President of the United States from January 2021 to January 2025. He left the White House on 20 January after the inauguration of incumbent President Donald Trump.
During his presidency, Biden was sick several times with coronavirus.
