Born in the USSR: why Trump’s top aide hid his origins

As it turns out, Sergio Gore, director of the White House presidential department under Donald Trump, was born in the Soviet Union.

He has been called “the most powerful man you’ve never heard of.” Sergio Gore’s role gives him access to the intimate secrets of those who want to work on Trump.

According to the New York Post, Gore refused to reveal his birthplace for the first time and said it was not Russia.

At the same time, a joint study by the Times of Malta and (OCCRP) revealed that Sergio Goro (Gorokhovsky by birth) was born on 30 November 1986 in Tashkent – the Uzbek Republic of the Union.

They confirmed this data by comparing the Trump aide’s name and date of birth with a notarised property register in Malta.

Shortly thereafter, Gore’s lawyer and the White House confirmed the news.

Why Gore was of interest to journalists

Gore’s biography generated a lot of interest in Washington following the New York Post’s claim that he failed a permanent security clearance.

At the same time, in his position, GRI oversaw about four thousand executive branch employees in the Trump administration.

According to the newspaper, Gore didn’t like the practice of vetting under the name Standard 86 or SF-86.

The supplemental check is a hundred-page set of questions that asks for, among other things, place of birth and overseas connections.

Refusal to fill out Form 86, according to News York Post sources, is rare, if not unique among White House aides. The form is filled out by everyone, even candidates for positions with classified access.

Gorch criticised the practice and said that the “deep state” could squeeze candidates who chose Trump. He argued that Malta was originally.

A Washington Post profile as of December 2024 identified him as an immigrant from the Mediterranean state of Malta.

Records show that at least five years of his childhood showed in Malta. In 1994, his mother set up a company in Malta and named an Israeli citizen. Her domain was a house in Cospicua, an ancient coastal town with a fortified harbour.

In 2021, Gore bought the house from his mother for 255,000 euros, Cospicua confirmed that they studied Sergio Gorochowski from 1996 to 1999. In the email, the school gave Gore’s date of birth, which matched the date of birth on the property registration document. His political career led him to work with Republican Senator Rand Paul and then to Trump’s orbit of influence.

One in 2018 was funded by the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank in Washington. The visit was described as “a fact-finding, research, discussion and study trip on issues related to Russia and the United States.”

It is not known that Sergio Gore engaged in a trip to Moscow.
