Britain: pro-Palestinian activists stormed an airbase and damaged two aircraft. Starmer responded

In the UK, pro-Palestinian activists have broken into a Royal Air Force base – they said they damaged and sprayed red paint on two military aircraft.

Palestine Action said two members entered the Brize-Norton base in Oxfordshire, sprayed paint on the engines of a Voyager aircraft and further damaged them with crowbars.

“Despite public condemnation by the Israeli government, Britain continues to send military supplies, fly reconnaissance aircraft over Gaza and refuelling US/Israeli fighter jets,” the group, which published a video of the incident on X, said in a statement.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the “vandalism” as “disgraceful”.

Britain’s Ministry of Defence and police are investigating the incident.

“Our Armed Forces represent the best of Britain. They risk their lives for us. it is our duty to support those who protect us,” he wrote on social media X.

As Reuters notes, Palestine Action is among the groups that have regularly attacked defence firms and other companies in Britain linked to Israel since the start of the Gaza conflict.
