Capital investment in Ukraine has reached 130.1 billion UAH

Capital investment in Ukraine in the first quarter of 2026 rose by 5.1 per cent compared with the first quarter of 2025, reaching 130.1 billion UAH, according to the State Statistics Service.

The agency specifies that 41.2 per cent of the total value of capital investment carried out was accounted for by industry (or 53.6 billion UAH), 12.7 per cent (or 16.5 billion hryvnias) to agriculture, forestry and fisheries.

The overwhelming majority of investment was concentrated in tangible assets – 93.3 per cent of the total. In particular, the largest amounts were invested in machinery, equipment and tools (38.2 per cent), engineering structures (19.2 per cent), non-residential buildings (10.9 per cent) and vehicles (10.5 per cent).

According to the State Statistics Service, the main source of funding for capital investment in January–March this year remains the own funds of enterprises and organisations – 78.6 per cent.

As previously reported, capital investment in Ukraine in 2025 increased by 20.3% compared with 2024, reaching 893.6 billion UAH.
