The Chinese company China Gas has signed an agreement with the US firm Venture Global to purchase 0.5 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas per year over a 20-year period, the US company has announced.
Deliveries will begin in 2030. With the signing of this agreement, China Gas’s purchases from Venture Global will increase to 2.5 million tonnes a year.
Venture Global is developing projects to produce 100 million tonnes of LNG per year: Calcasieu Pass, Plaquemines LNG and CP2 LNG.
China Gas is one of the largest suppliers of energy resources to China.
