Prices for RAM (RAM) in Europe and the US have increased significantly, negatively affecting the electronics and computer market – in Ukraine and neighbouring countries this trend is already starting to have an impact, although there is little accurate domestic data yet.
According to Reuters, Samsung Electronics raised contract prices for 64GB and 96GB DDR5 modules by more than 30 per cent between September and November 2025.
Analysts at Counterpoint Technology Market Research note that global prices for some DRAM chips have increased in the range of 3-11 times since the beginning of 2025.
The GameGPU portal reports that in Europe, a 64GB DDR5 kit sells for around €550, which is significantly higher than usual.
TrendForce predicts that memory costs could still rise by 30% in Q4 2025 and another 20% in early 2026.
Exact statistics for Ukraine are not available at the time of publication, but retailers and dealers note that prices for DDR5 64GB kits have increased by tens of per cent in recent months.
The rise in memory costs is driving up the price of computers, laptops, game consoles and servers. There are already reports that manufacturers and retailers in the EU are preparing significant price adjustments for models with high memory capacities.
