European Union (EU) countries imported more than 9 million tonnes of oil from Azerbaijan in the first half of 2025, which is 21.4% higher than in the same period last year.
According to the data of the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat), the value of Azerbaijani oil supplied to the EU countries in January-June was about 4.76 billion euros (up 2.8%).

Azerbaijan’s oil in January-June 2025 was also imported by Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Portugal and Greece.
In 2024, EU countries imported about 17.27 million tonnes of oil from Azerbaijan (down 14.9% year-on-year) for €10.28 billion (down 17.1%).
