Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd, one of China’s largest carmakers, reported strong growth in net profit and revenue in its third-quarter financial statements, driven by higher sales.
Net profit in the July-September period rose 59% year-on-year to 3.82 billion yuan ($538 million), it reported.
Revenue rose 27% to 89.19 billion yuan.
Geely sold 761,000 vehicles last quarter, up 43% from a year earlier.
The company now expects total sales to reach 3 million vehicles this year.
Stock prices of the carmaker fell by 1.9% in trading in Hong Kong on Monday. Since the beginning of this year, the market value of the company has grown by 16.1%.
