The collapse of a part of a driveway occurred on the morning of July 28 in a residential five-storey building in the regional centre of the Russian Federation, the city of Astrakhan, Russian rescue services report.
“Employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry are dismantling the collapsed structures. Evacuation of residents and search for possible victims is underway,” the agency said.
The house where the emergency occurred was built in 1962. The house is brick, three-door, has five floors. The house also houses a veterinary clinic and a sports club.
According to the telegram channel Baza, in 2020 the house was recognised as an emergency, but people were not evicted.
