Pakistan and Qatar played a key role as mediators in this conflict. In June, Pakistan, with Qatar’s support, helped broker a provisional agreement between Tehran and Washington in Islamabad. However, the deal quickly fell apart: both sides accused each other of breaches, and hostilities resumed.
