About 1,300 British servicemen took part in the parade on 5 May in London. The procession started from Parliament Square and passed Buckingham Palace.
Ukrainian defenders marched with a blue-yellow flag, and King Charles III reacted to their appearance with respect. He rose from his seat and saluted the military.
The event was also watched by members of the royal family: Prince William with Kate Middleton and children George, Charlotte and Louis, Queen Camilla, Prince Edward, Duchess of Edinburgh Sophie, Princess Anne and her husband Timothy Lawrence, as well as the Duke of Kent.
The celebrations will conclude on 8 May with a service of thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey, after which King Charles III and Queen Camilla will take part in a celebratory concert at Horse Guards Parade.
