Gold mining company Kinross Gold reported a 4 per cent decline in production in the second quarter of 2026, to 492,000 ounces of gold equivalent, the company said.
Production growth at the Tasiast (Mauritania) and Paracatu (Brazil) mines was offset by a decline at the Bald Mountain, Round Mountain and Fort Knox (US) mines, Kinross explained.
The company is maintaining its production forecast for 2026 at 2 million ounces (plus or minus 5 per cent).
Kinross Gold is one of the world’s ten largest gold mining companies and owns projects in Brazil, Chile, Mauritania, the US and Canada.
