Danish toy manufacturer Lego A/S increased its revenue by 21 per cent in the first half of 2026, to 41.9 billion Danish kroner ($6.54 billion), a record figure, according to a company statement.
Net profit for January–June rose by 32 per cent to 8.6 billion kroner, whilst operating profit increased by 22 per cent to 10.9 billion kroner.
During the reporting period, Lego increased its investment in expanding production capacity – specifically in the construction of a new factory and a regional distribution centre in the US – to 4.6 billion Danish kroner from 4.2 billion Danish kroner a year earlier. Both facilities in Virginia are scheduled to open in 2027.
In June, the Lego Global Innovation Centre in Billund (Denmark) began operations; it will focus on the development, testing and implementation of new technologies.
Over the past six months, the company has launched more than 330 new sets, including the interactive Smart Play series featuring pieces equipped with sensors and figures that respond to movement with light and sound effects.
Lego has 1,106 branded shops worldwide, and its toys are sold in more than 120 countries. The company employs over 33,000 people.
