The M88 Hercules armoured recovery vehicle, which was operated by four missing US servicemen during an exercise, was found in a body of water at a training range in Lithuania. This was reported by the U.S. Army Europe and Africa Command on 26 March.
The submerged vehicle was found after a search operation involving the U.S. Army, Lithuanian Armed Forces and local authorities.
The operation is now underway to recover the vehicle and further search for the soldiers.
The missing soldiers are serving in the 1st Brigade of the US 3rd Infantry Division and participated in planned tactical exercises, the report said.
Earlier, the NATO press service said the search for four US soldiers who went missing during military exercises in Lithuania was continuing.
The Lithuanian Armed Forces said that four US soldiers and one tracked vehicle were reported missing during the exercise at 16:45 on 25 March.
