Merz, Macron, Starmer and Tusk arrived in Kyiv

French President Macron, Polish and British prime ministers Donald Tusk and Keir Starmer, as well as German Chancellor Friedrich Merz arrived in Kiev for the meeting of the “coalition of the willing” on 10 April. In social networks, the leaders published a joint photo from the train.

The European leaders were met by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga and head of the OPU Andriy Yermak.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced a “coalition of the willing” summit on Saturday, and according to media reports, French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed that his country would attend the event.

US President Donald Trump on Thursday called for a 30-day unconditional ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine after a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Otherwise, Trump warned, Washington and its partners will impose further sanctions.

The format brings together the UK, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Ukraine.
