Natural gas production in Norway in April totalled 10.19 billion cubic metres, which is 2% less than in the same month last year, according to preliminary calculations by the Norwegian Offshore Directorate (NOD).
Compared to March this year, the figure fell by 6.6 per cent. NOD forecasted production in April at the level of 10.067 billion cubic metres.
Norway’s production of oil, condensate and SFLP last month decreased by 2.9% year-on-year to 2.03 million barrels per day (b/d). Meanwhile, it was up 2.8 per cent from March.
The country’s oil production averaged 1.828 million b/d, down 0.6% from April 2024 but 4% higher than March’s volume. NOD had forecast production at 1.767 million b/s.
Norway’s total hydrocarbon production in January-April, according to preliminary data, was about 79.6 million cubic metres of oil equivalent, of which 33.7 million cubic metres came from oil and 41.9 million cubic metres from natural gas. total production was 4.1 million cubic metres of oil equivalent less than the figure for the same period last year, it said.
