The second round of the presidential election is taking place in Poland on Sunday. Poles are choosing the head of state from two candidates: Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski and a representative of the opposition Conservative Party “Law and Justice”, head of the Institute of National Memory of Poland Karol Nawrocki.
In Poland, polling stations opened at 7 am, voting will end at 21: 00.
During the first round of the current presidential election, 67.31 per cent of eligible voters cast their ballots.
A week before the election, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk described as treason the words of presidential candidate Nawrocki that Poland would never support Ukraine’s accession to NATO.
