Russia claims a drone attack on the Syzran oil refinery in the Samara region.
According to the ASTRA telegram channel, the released videos show a siren, smoke and fire at the plant.
Samara Region Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said the mass UAV attack on the region “this morning.” According to his preliminary data, 13 Ukrainian drones were destroyed, air defence and operational services are working.
The governor did not write about the attack on the Syzran oil refinery.
Alexander Khinshtein, governor of Kursk region of the Russian Federation, said that in the Zheleznodorozhny district of Kursk, a multi-storey building was damaged due to a drone attack, a fire started and four upper floors were engulfed in flames.
According to him, one woman was killed and 10 others were injured.
The Russian Defence Ministry said that seven Ukrainian drones had been shot down in the Samara region, a total of 53 drones over the territory of nine regions and the Sea of Azov.
The Ukrainian side has not commented on these statements so far.
Since the beginning of 2024, Russian refineries have been regularly attacked by Ukrainian drones. At some refineries, primary oil refining units failed and required repairs.
