The Leningrad region of the Russian Federation is under attack by drones, local Telegram channels say.
The movement of drones has reportedly been spotted in the districts of Gatchina, Vsevolozhsk, Kronstadt and Volosovsky. Local residents say that some drones were probably shot down – they heard explosions.
Earlier, the governor of the Leningrad region, Alexander Drozdenko, warned about the threat from UAVs. Because of this, the St. Petersburg airport Pulkovo temporarily stopped receiving and dispatching aircraft. It is known that more than 70 flights were delayed or cancelled.
In addition, local residents report that mobile internet almost stopped working in St. Petersburg after the announcement of the drone threat.
