U.S. presidential representative Steve Witkoff is expected in Moscow later this week, Russian state media reported, citing presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
He gave no other details.
Neither Washington nor Witkoff himself has so far been informed about the visit.
US Presidential Special Envoy Steve Witkoff visited Russia on 11 April. During the visit, he had his third meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Ushakov also participated in the meeting.
At the time, Witkoff called these talks “convincing.” He said they discussed steps that could end Russia’s war in Ukraine. He said a peace agreement would include a settlement of the five territories.
Witkoff’s new trip to Moscow comes after talks in Paris on 17 April involving Ukraine, the United States, France, Britain and Germany on ending Russia’s war in Ukraine. A new meeting is scheduled for Wednesday this week.
