Russian Federation reports fire at oil pumping station in Tatarstan after drone strike

Drones attacked an industrial zone in Almetyevsk, in the Russian region of Tatarstan, on the night of 23 February. The falling debris of the downed drones caused a fire, people were not injured, “work is underway to eliminate the consequences.” This was announced by local authorities, without specifying details.

The Russian publication Astra and Ukrainian monitoring Telegram channels say that the strike hit an oil pumping station near the village of Kaleikino. The station belongs to the Transneft-Prikamye company. It is a major node in the main pipeline system.

In Belgorod and Belgorod region of Russia, as a result of shelling by Ukraine, power, water and heat supply to residential buildings has been interrupted, said regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov. On the evening of 22 February, he reported massive rocket fire on Belgorod and Belgorod District by the AFU. According to Gladkov, energy infrastructure facilities were seriously damaged.

In Voronezh, debris from a destroyed high-velocity target fell on one of the energy facilities, and two districts of the city experienced short-term power supply problems, Governor Alexander Gusev said.

In Russia’s Rostov region, drones were shot down in four districts, with no information on casualties or damage, local authorities said.

Airports in Moscow, Samara, Ulyanovsk, Kaluga, Saratov, Penza and Yaroslavl were temporarily not accepting or dispatching aircraft.

On the morning of 23 February, the Russian Defence Ministry reported in its summary that 152 Ukrainian drones had allegedly been shot down overnight.
