Trump said weapons at NATO expense are already being shipped to Ukraine

US President Donald Trump has said the first shipments of ozborniye, which will be bought by allies for Ukraine, have already begun.

“They’re already being shipped. They’re coming from Germany and then they’re being replaced by Germany. And in all cases, the United States is getting paid in full … NATO is going to pay us for everything. In some cases, we’re going to be paid back directly by the European Union countries. We always get our money back in full,” he said when asked when (the) first Patriot missiles, some of the weapons the allies will buy, would be (sent).

On 14 July, US President Donald Trump said during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte that he planned to provide Ukraine with “billions of dollars worth of weapons” to be purchased by NATO. He named Patriot air defence systems among the military equipment planned to be provided to Ukraine.

At the same time, Trump said he was “not happy” with Russia’s policy, which has recently stepped up air attacks on Ukraine. He said the US plans to impose 100 per cent secondary duties if a peace agreement is not reached within 50 days. Europe welcomed the announcement but believes that 50 days is a long time.
