Trump will leave the G7 summit in Canada early

US President Donald Trump will leave the G7 summit early and return to Washington. This was announced by White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt.

“President Trump had a great day at the G7 summit, even signing a major trade agreement with the UK and Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Much was accomplished, but because of what is happening in the Middle East, President Trump will be leaving tonight after dinner with heads of state,” Levitt wrote on social media X.

As CNN notes, Trump was scheduled to fly out of Canada on Tuesday after the press conference. Shortly before the White House announced his early departure, Trump wrote on Truth Social, “everyone must evacuate Tehran immediately!” as the conflict between Iran and Israel escalates.

The G7 leaders’ summit is taking place in Kananaskis, Canada, from 15-17 June.
