Ukrainian grain exports up 32% in October

Ukraine exported 3.2m tonnes of grain and oilseeds in four months of the 2025-2026 marketing year (mg, July-June), the Ukrainian Grain Association said on Facebook.

According to the infographic above, exports were most active in August (3.3 million tonnes) and October (3.21 million tonnes). At the same time, exports in October were 32% higher than in September (2.4 million tonnes).

Wheat sales peaked in August at 2.048 million tonnes, 36.5% more than in October (1.5 million tonnes). Barley exports were also most active in August (324,000 tonnes), 36.1% more than in September (238,000 tonnes) and 62% more than in October (200,000 tonnes).

Exports of maize, however, picked up in October and reached 1.094 million tonnes, up significantly from 61 thousand tonnes in September and 230 thousand tonnes in August.

Foreign trade in soybeans also picked up in October – 230 thousand tonnes, compared to 78 thousand tonnes in September and 208 thousand tonnes in August this year.

Rapeseed exports were most buoyant in August at 519,000 tonnes, with 220,000 tonnes and 177,000 tonnes shipped to foreign markets in September and October respectively.
