Ukrainians’ attitude towards Denmark: stable support and lowest level of criticism

Denmark occupies an honourable place among the countries that Ukrainians perceive with the greatest sympathy and trust. This is evidenced by the results of a sociological survey conducted by Active Group in cooperation with the analytical centre Experts Club in April 2025.

According to the results, 69.7% of respondents have a positive attitude towards Denmark: 35.0% – mostly positive, another 34.8% – completely positive. Only 1.5% of Ukrainians have a negative attitude (0.9% – mostly negative, 0.6% – completely negative). At the same time, 26.4 per cent of respondents expressed a neutral position, and 2.4 per cent found it difficult to answer.

“These figures confirm Denmark’s strong image as a country committed to the principles of solidarity, human rights and justice. Its assistance to Ukraine, in particular the numerous grants from the Danish Refugee Council, although less mediatised, is of weighty importance,” emphasised Maxim Urakin, founder of Experts Club.

Thus, Denmark is cementing its image as a stable ally, which enjoys wide public approval in Ukraine.
