Xiaomi net profit up 2.3 times, revenue hits record high

Chinese consumer electronics and electric vehicle maker Xiaomi has increased its net profit in the second quarter of 2025 by 2.3 times, with adjusted and revenue hitting record highs.

According to the company’s press release, net profit in the April-June period was 11.87 billion yuan ($1.65 billion), up from 5.07 billion yuan in the same period of the previous year. Profit excluding one-off factors jumped 1.8 times to 10.8 billion yuan.

Xiaomi’s quarterly revenue rose 30.5 per cent to 116 billion yuan.

Analysts polled by Visible Alpha had on average forecast the company’s net profit at 9.04 billion yuan on revenue of 88.89 billion yuan. The consensus forecast of experts polled by LSEG for adjusted earnings was 10.1 billion yuan.

Xiaomi’s smartphone revenue fell 2.1% to 45.5 billion yuan in the second quarter. The company sold a total of 42.4 million smartphones in April-June, up 0.6 per cent from a year earlier. Xiaomi has a 14.7 per cent share of mainland China’s smartphone market, according to analyst firm Canalys.

The company’s revenue in the internet of things (IoT) and consumer electronics segment rose 44.7% to a record 38.7 billion yuan, with revenue from internet services up 10% to 9.1 billion yuan.

Revenue in the electric vehicles and other advanced technology segment jumped 3.3 times to 21.3 billion yuan. Deliveries of Xiaomi SU7 Series cars in the second quarter rose to a record 81,302,000 units (27,307,000 vehicles a year earlier) thanks to the expansion of production capacity.

Xiaomi shares were down 1.2 per cent at the close of trading on Tuesday. The reports were published after the market closed in Hong Kong. Since the beginning of this year, the company’s capitalisation has grown by 52%.

Xiaomi was founded in 2010. The company makes smartphones, tablets, laptops, TVs, smart watches and smart bikes, as well as steamers, water testers and electric cars. The products are available in more than 100 countries.
