Amid strikes on Iran, Israel suspends its diplomatic missions around the world

Israel is suspending its diplomatic missions around the world.

“In light of recent events, Israeli missions around the world will be closed and consular services will not be provided. For Israelis abroad, an online form is available to report their place of stay and current status,” the Israeli state in Ukraine said in a statement.

The Israeli agency also publishes general safety rules for Israelis abroad, which recommend, among other things, avoiding the display of Jewish or Israeli symbols in public places, refraining from posting on social media about one’s place of stay or travel plans, and avoiding large gatherings or events related to Israel or Jewish communities.

At 3 a.m. on 13 June, Israel launched an attack on Iran. Israeli aircraft struck uranium enrichment facilities in Natang and Fordow, missile bases in Kermanshah and Khorremabad, and Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz and other major Iranian cities were also under attack.

Iranian media reported that as a result of Israeli strikes killed, in particular, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Hosein Salami, Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri and physicist Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi.

It later became known that Iran would not participate in the nuclear talks with the US, which were to be held in Oman on 15 June.
