A mysterious city from the Book of the Dead has been discovered under the pyramids of Giza: how it changes history

Italian scientists stress: this discovery may rewrite the history of ancient civilisations. At a depth of about 600 metres beneath the surface of the Giza Plateau, a huge underground complex has been discovered.

Mankind is on the verge of discovering a new civilisation

Scientists believe: the discovered city may indicate that there was a civilisation on the territory of Egypt, about which the history simply “forgot”.

It is assumed that the reason for the death of this civilisation could be a catastrophe. The found city is mentioned in ancient Egyptian texts. In particular, they talk about the legendary “book of the dead” – a collection of Egyptian hymns and religious texts.

The location found is described as fourteen “mounds” in the underworld. The dead must meet them on their way. Scientists note that, apparently, this text should be taken as a metaphor for a complex that survived the catastrophe.

We firmly believe that the structures of Giza are interconnected, which supports the idea that the pyramids are just the tip of the iceberg of a colossal underground infrastructure complex – emphasises researcher Filippo Biondi.

The age of the Giza complex is estimated at 4,500 years. Meanwhile, the found city may be about 38 thousand years old. If this is true, the history of mankind will have to be rewritten.
