Anna Wintour, 75, has told the publication’s staff that she will be looking for a new head of editorial content at American Vogue.
Wintour will remain chief content officer at parent company Condé Nast and global editorial director of Vogue, while continuing to oversee the company’s international brands. These include GQ, Vanity Fair, Wired, AD, Condé Nast Traveler, Glamour, Bon Appétit, Tatler, World of Interiors and Allure.
Fashion fans have already started posting to X (formerly Twitter) expressing their shock. They call her departure “the end of an era” and say they never thought they’d see it coming.
