On 3 July 2026, a notice was published on the embassy’s website announcing a temporary suspension of operations and advising that consular enquiries should be directed to other Belarusian diplomatic missions abroad, in particular, the Consulate-General of Belarus in Daugavpils (Latvia) or the Embassy of Belarus in Stockholm (Sweden).
Finland does not have an embassy in Belarus, but there is a representative office of the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs there. According to the Finnish newspaper HS, citing the ministry, it is currently operating as usual.
