Two trains have collided near the town of Roznjava in Slovakia. According to the latest data, nine people were seriously and moderately injured in the accident, while about 20 others suffered minor injuries, the TA3 TV channel reported.
A spokesman for the Slovakian railway company said the collision occurred at a track crossing where the railway switches to a single-track section.
The causes of the accident are being investigated. The Slovak Interior Minister said the collision was probably due to human error – one of the drivers may have failed to give way to the other.
