Fans finally got some details about R&B singer Ella Mai and Jason Tatum’s baby boy.
While promoting her upcoming album Do You Still Love Me? the Grammy-winning singer shared that she and Tatum’s son is already showing off his skills.According to the singer, he has shown interest in both singing and basketball.
“You know what, it gives you both right now,” Mai told KISS XTRA. “We can have a little singing hoop in our hands,” she said.
“He can hold a little note; he’s young, but he can hold a little note,” she continued.
Rumours of the “Boo’d Up” singer and the Boston Celtics star dating have surfaced around 2019 and 2020. Last year, the couple had a son, reportedly named Dylan.Although May has been seen supporting Tatum, such as at the 2024 Summer Olympics when the U.S. basketball team won gold, she held her newborn in her arms.However, May and Tatum are keeping their relationship and their son private.
“We’re going to keep it private, Ima keep calm and I don’t want anyone wishing negativity on me, him or anything else,” Mai said.
“There are cameras everywhere, but if you move intentionally, it’s not that hard to go unnoticed,” she added.
She shared that her artistry is her.priority growing up and that she never pursued marriage or children.
“Even when it started happening to me, I never saw anything beyond that,” she said. “That was my ultimate goal.”
Mai continued: “But now to see this new journey and to feel this new journey and kind of combine it with what I’m doing now that I’m back at work, it’s incredible.”
