Supermodel Anok Yai has revealed that she has been diagnosed with a congenital lung defect that overloads her heart and slowly destroys her lungs.
For the past year, Anok fought the disease and kept working. But at some point, the model realised that she couldn’t go on like this and needed to urgently find a solution to the problem.
“Yesterday I successfully underwent robotic surgery on my lungs,” the model shared on social media.
She also thanked the doctor and nursing staff who “gave her more time.” Anok announced that she will stop working for the recovery period, but promises to return.
