Electricity supply in Tbilisi and Georgian regions is limited due to an accident on the Kavkasioni power transmission line.
The company did not specify the reasons for the shutdown, adding that the power supply is gradually being restored.
By this time light has already appeared for most subscribers.
Due to the emergency power outage, the first line of the Tbilisi metro temporarily did not serve passengers. Later it became known that the metro resumed its work in the normal mode.
As a result of the accident, the power system of the self-proclaimed republic of Abkhazia was also de-energised, the Chernomorenergo company said.
“Power supply to Abkhazia has been fully restored,” the company said half an hour after the first report.
A large-scale blackout in Georgia had already occurred on the night of 9 April.
