Overnight on 14 August, Russian regions were once again subjected to drone attacks, resulting in a fire breaking out at the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad Region of the Russian Federation and damage to a Wildberries warehouse in the Tver Region, according to local authorities.
In particular, as stated by Alexander Drozdenco, Governor of the Leningrad Region of the Russian Federation, air defence forces allegedly shot down 54 drones that were attacking the region. According to him, the strike caused a fire at the port of Ust-Luga, which was soon extinguished. Drozděnko noted that there were no casualties. The port has already been attacked by Ukrainian forces on several occasions, most recently last month.
Meanwhile, Vitaly Korolev, head of Russia’s Tver Region, stated that a wall of a Wildberries warehouse had been damaged as a result of the drone attack. “The smoke that developed was quickly cleared. No employees were injured,” he said.
The company’s press office reported that the building had sustained minor damage.
The Russian Ministry of Defence claimed that 553 Ukrainian drones were allegedly shot down overnight.
