The volume of industrial production in Moldova in January-March 2025 decreased by 1.2% compared to the indicator of January-March 2024, reported the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic.
The decrease in the index is due to a 2.9 per cent drop in production in the manufacturing industry.
At the same time, growth was recorded in the extractive industry (by 34 per cent), as well as in the production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning (by 1 per cent).
In March 2025, compared to March 2024, industrial production increased by 0.1 per cent.
In 2024, Moldova’s industrial production decreases by 1.1 per cent, following a 3.6 per cent decline in 2023 and a 5.1 per cent drop in 2022.
