The Israeli Air Force launched an air strike on the building of the Iranian state broadcaster Voice of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRIB), Iran’s Fars and Mehr news agencies reported.
Before that, the Israel Defence Forces issued a warning in Farsi language to residents of Tehran’s third district, located in the northeast of the city, advising them to “immediately leave the specified area” as the Israeli military would soon attack “the Iranian regime’s military infrastructure”.
Forty minutes after the warning, the Israel Defence Forces said military targets in Tehran were now being hit and promised to reveal details later.
Fars news agency reported minutes after the strike that live broadcasting of IRIB TV and radio had resumed.
