Kazakhstan reduced oil exports to Germany by 1.4 times

The volume of transportation of Kazakh oil to Germany by the system of oil pipeline “Druzhba” in June this year amounted to 160 thousand tonnes, which is 1.4 times less than in May, reported to the agency “Interfax-Kazakhstan” in the national company “KazTransOil”.

“In June 2025 the volume of transportation of Kazakh oil by the system of main oil pipelines of PJSC “Transneft” in the direction of the oil delivery point “Adamova Zastava” for further delivery to Germany amounted to 160 thousand tonnes”, – stated in the response to the request of the agency.

As reported, in May the volume of transportation of Kazakh oil to Germany was equal to 230 thousand tonnes.

At the same time, the company did not provide exact data on transport plans for July 2025.

At first, the national company KazMunaiGas (KMG) stated that in 2025 Kazakhstan plans to ship 1.5 million tonnes of oil to Germany through the Druzhba pipeline. At the end of 2024 in this direction was exported the same volume – 1.5 million tonnes. Later from the materials of KMG became known that in 2025 it is planned to increase oil supplies to Germany up to 2 million tonnes.

Earlier, then Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliev reported that in the case of a request from Germany, the volume of supplies may be increased to 2 million tonnes of oil.

Kazakhstan has been supplying oil to Germany since 2023 through the system of trunk oil pipelines Transneft in the direction of the oil delivery point “Adamova Zastava”.
