Kering’s revenue fell 16%

French holding company Kering SA, which owns famous fashion brands, reported a sharp decline in net profit and revenue in the first half of 2025.

According to the company’s statements, its net profit in January-June totalled 474 million euros and operating profit from continuing operations was 969 million euros. A year earlier, the figures were €878m and €1.58bn respectively.

Kering’s revenue fell 16% to €7.59bn. Comparable sales were down 15 per cent.

Gucci brand global sales fell 26% to €3.03bn. Yves Saint Laurent brand revenues fell 11% to €1.29bn. Bottega Veneta’s revenue increased by 1% to €846m. Revenues for other brands, including Balenciaga and Alexander McQueen, were down 15% overall to €1.46bn.

Kering’s net debt stood at €9.5bn at the end of the first half of the year.

Kering shares fell 1.6 per cent in Paris trading on Tuesday, the report was published after the stock exchange closed. Since the beginning of the year, the company’s capitalisation has fallen by 10.8% to 26.47 billion euros.
