On the night of 24 April, Russian forces attacked Odessa from drones. The strike was powerful and hit residential areas of the city. According to preliminary data, two people were killed – an elderly couple, they are 75 years old. 15 people were injured, said the head of the Odessa police department, Sergei Lysak.
Around midnight, the AFU Air Force and local media reported that drones were flying from the Black Sea towards Odessa.
The Odessa region’s State Emergency Situations Service said Russian troops were striking residential neighbourhoods and civilian infrastructure.
One of the drones hit a three-storey residential building – flats were destroyed there and a fire started.
Six people were injured in the house.

The head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Oleg Kiper said that civilian infrastructure in the city was damaged.
Among the victims are elderly people: a 72-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man received shrapnel wounds. The woman was taken to hospital.
He added that windows were broken in several other buildings and cars were damaged.
