PII” McDonald’s Ukraine Ltd, which is developing the Mcdonald’s chain of fast-food restaurants in Ukraine, has started testing a new service that allows you to order a dish through an app and pick it up at the restaurant when ready, the company’s press service said.
The release said that the Mobile Order service allows you to choose a restaurant through the Mcdonald’s mobile app, add your favourite dishes from the menu to your cart and pay for the order in the app. Also in the application selects the way to receive the order: “Mcdrive”, the zone of order delivery or service at the table.
The service is already available for all users of Mcdonald’s application in Ukraine, but during the testing period you can make an order only in four restaurants in Kiev (E. Sverstyuka St., 1; Sofiyska St., 1/2; Grishko St., 7a and Pravda Ave.Pravdy, 47).
Now you can pay for a mobile order by linking a card in your app or using Apple Pay on iOS devices. The ability to pay via Google Pay in the app will be temporarily unavailable, so it will be possible to pay for an order on Android devices only by linking the card to the app.
As reported, last year the company launched personalised vouchers in the app, and completed the installation of digital menu boards at McDrive and self-service terminals in all establishments of the chain in Ukraine. “Mobile Ordering is the next step in the digitalisation of the ordering and service process. Now this service is successfully working in McDonald’s in many countries of the world. After the test period, the company plans to National launch of the service “Mobile Order”.
The first Mcdonald’S restaurant in Ukraine was opened on 24 May 1997 in Kiev. Now 117 restaurants work in Ukraine, 15 more restaurants are closed due to security requirements.
According to the analytical system YouControl, Mcdonald’s in Ukraine in the first half of 2025 received 9.9 billion UAH of revenue, which is 26.9% more than in the same period last year. Net profit fell to UAH 845.3m compared to UAH 874.7m in the first half of 2024.
