Another street band was detained in St. Petersburg for playing Noize MC songs

In the centre of Russian St. Petersburg on the evening of 28 October, police detained three musicians from the cover band Restart who were performing songs by Noize MC and Morgenstern, according to the newspapers Paper, SotaVision and RusNews.

According to Papera, Restart staged a street concert in support of singer Naoko and other musicians from the band Stoptime. They performed songs previously performed by the group.

The publications say that the musicians were taken to the police station.

Singer Naoko (Diana Loginova) and two other musicians of Stoptime – guitarist Alexander Orlov and drummer Vladislav Leontiev – were detained in St. Petersburg on 15 October. The next day all three were sent to a special detention centre, calling the performance of songs on the streets of St. Petersburg the organisation of a mass event without the approval of the authorities.

On 28 October Naoko was fined 30 thousand rubles under the protocol on “discrediting” the army because of the performance of Monetochka’s song “you are a soldier”. Immediately after that she was taken from the court to the police station, where the singer was called an ambulance. Subsequently, it became known that another protocol was drawn up against the girl for organising a mass gathering of people, which resulted in a violation of public order.
