The Artycapucines range is an artistic reinterpretation of the classic Capucines bag and consists of 11 pieces. Among the most notable models is the Capucines BB Golden Garden, which would be based on Murakami’s famous series of works with chrysanthemums.
Also, the Panda Clutch: characterised by a special lustre thanks to the inlay of 6250 rhinestones.
The Capucines Mini Tentacle and Capucines MM Eye models directly reproduce the octopus motifs from the installation.
To showcase the collection, Murakami created an impressive large-scale installation, the centrepiece of which is a new art object – a giant inflatable octopus.
Its image is inspired by Chinese lanterns and refers to the artist’s famous work “octopus eats its own leg” (2017).
The exhibition is complemented by three spherical sculptures inspired by the optical illusions of M. K. Escher, which serve as a background for the bags.
