Residents of Moscow, the capital of Russia, have started receiving SMS messages about possible disruptions in the operation of mobile Internet. According to the Kommersant newspaper and the state news agency RIA Novosti, subscribers of all leading operators – MTS, Bilayn and Megafon – are receiving such alerts.
“In order to ensure security measures in your area may be temporary restrictions in the work of mobile Internet,” – operators report. It is noted that subscribers can use the services from the “white list” – sites that should be available during the shutdown of mobile Internet.
Problems with mobile Internet and mobile communication have been observed in Moscow since the beginning of March. RBC sources reported that this is testing “white lists.” These lists, according to media reports, started working in Moscow on 13 March.
On 14 March, residents of Moscow suburbs were warned about “temporary difficulties” with mobile Internet, and on 17 March – residents of St. Petersburg.
