On Saturday, 25 October, the governor of Russia’s Belgorod Region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that the dam of the Belgorod water reservoir was shelled.
According to the Russian official, the impact “damaged the dam”.
He also said that in case of repeated shelling, the structure could collapse and the settlements where about 1,000 people live would be under the threat of flooding, so the Russian authorities suggest they evacuate.
The Ukrainian command has not yet commented on this information.
Since the beginning of 2024, Russian oil refineries have been regularly attacked by Ukrainian drones. At some refineries, primary oil refining units failed and required repairs.
