On the night of 31 May, drones attacked an oil refinery in Saratov, Russian TV channels reported.
At around 3: 15 a.m., explosions erupted in Saratov, after which a fire broke out on the territory of the refinery. According to media reports, the blast probably hit an isomerisation unit.
The Saratov refinery is one of the oldest oil refineries in Russia. Its capacity is about 5.8 million tonnes of oil per year – about 2.2% of the total Russian volume. Its main products are diesel fuel, petrol, fuel oil and avgas.
The Ukrainian military has not yet commented on this information. Radio Liberty cannot independently verify the results of the defeats.
