Drones attacked Moscow and the region on the night of 17 May, Russian telegram channels and local authorities reported.
As a result of the drone attack on Moscow and the region, the Elma technopark, the Angstrem enterprise, an oil refinery, an airport, and an oil product loading station were hit. The main activities of the resident enterprises of the technopark are the production of electronic equipment products, production of control and measuring instruments, optical equipment and the like.
Also in social networks wrote that the oil products loading station “Sonlechnogorskaya” in the village of Durikino, Moscow region, came under drone fire.
OSINT channels also reported about an attack on the Raduga MKB plant in Moscow Region. This is a Russian machine-building design bureau specialising in the development of cruise missiles and other missile equipment.
The drone attack on Moscow allegedly injured 12 people, the mayor of the Russian capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said. According to him, people were allegedly injured near the gatehouse of one of the technological enterprises, where a shift of construction workers was at the time of the strike. Sobyanin says the work of the enterprise does not seem to have been disrupted.
Also, according to Russian authorities, three residential buildings were damaged in the drone strikes.
Moscow’s mayor said air defence forces had allegedly shot down more than 120 drones over the past 24 hours.
One of the “largest drone attacks” on the Moscow region allegedly killed three people and injured five others, the region’s governor Andrei Vorobyov said.
He said a drone allegedly hit a private house in Khimki, killing a woman. Another person is reportedly under the rubble. In the village of Pogorelki near Mytishchi, debris from a downed drone fell on an unfinished house. Two men died.
In the village of Putilkovo in Krasnogorsk, a drone hit an apartment building. Several flats were damaged, however, according to preliminary data, there were no casualties.
In the town of Dedovsk in the Istra district, drones hit an apartment building on Cosmonavtov Street, as well as six private houses in the village of Agrogorodok. Three men and one woman were injured.
In the village of Subbotino in the Naro-Fominsk district, a private house caught fire after a drone attack. According to local authorities, there are no casualties there.
The Ukrainian side did not comment on these reports at the time of publication.
